During some of the extended testing that I was doing the blogs have been largely unavailable to users. That all changes today. All registered users can now create their own blogs, read and post comments in others blogs and more. Site Supporters can also customize their blogs style to make them looks just how they like. I can't wait to see what you all post up. I'm going to start with a bit of a rant of mine on the subject of Quickbooks lack of 64b development.
For now.
So, another round of updates was completed which takes one step away from the final version of OCW's forums, Blog and articles section. The last couple of months have brought in some pretty dramatic changes to these areas, what do you think about them? Finally, I think we're getting very close to the time where the style needs to be finalized. What direction do we need to go?
So, I just completed another round of updates to the site. We'll need to restart posting bugs and any other issues. Thanks and let me know what you think by replying here.
So, tonight the site was offline for about 10 minutes while the software was updated. This removed quite a few bugs and gets us closer to a final version of the site. Right now the developers are expecting to release the final code before the end of the year. So, you'll probably notice that a few things will change around here between now and then but you shouldn't expect any changes like we had moving from the previous version to this one. I'm expecting tweaks and refinements of the underlaying system. Regarding the style of the site I'm enjoy the thread very much thats talking about it. There's quite a few good ideas in there and you can expect some of those to be implemented for sure. This is a bit on the quiet side for me. Time will tell though so I'm trying to be patient right now. I welcome your thoughts as always, so hit the comment button and tell me!
