Here's the thread to post all your needs/wants/extra parts for sale/parts for giveaway. This is strictly related to folding, so don't put your extra webcams in here. We have a For Sale forum for that.

Here's the deal, I have high hopes for this thread, so let's see if we can achieve my lofty expectations.

THE RULES:
1. One post per member in this thread. Seriously. Once you post, don't post again. Edit your old post instead.
2. In your post, mention any hardware you have that you are interested in selling, trading, or giving away. Pictures help. Newegg links are also nice.
3. Post prices for the items you are selling. It gives us a starting point if we are interested.
4. Also in your post, list any hardware you're looking to buy or trade for. Be as specific as possible. Prices might also help if you have a price point in mind.
5. Try to keep your post updated by editing it periodically or when you buy or sell something. One thing that would kill this utopia of a thread I'm picturing would be if it gets completely stale (I'm probably going to violate this one, so PM me if you can tell it's happening).
6. This is for full-time folders only. Of course, I can't stop somebody from trading with you if they are feeling generous, however we're trying to boost our folding team through this thread.
7. NO DISCUSSION.
8. Read #7 again. Seriously. If you have something you just have to say in this thread, you can put it in your ONE post. Otherwise, post in another thread or take the discussion to Private Messages. If we really want to talk about what's going on here, we could start a "Swap meet discussion thread" or something. If you feel like starting it, go for it.

The idea here is so when we have stuff we're looking to get rid of, or we're looking for, we have one place to look. I know digging through the for sale forum or ebay or what have you gets overwhelming at times, so here's the place to facilitate the most efficient hardware swap. Hopefully.

WHAT I HAVE:

Core 2 Duo E6850 - this is currently folding in my file server. I would be happy to trade it for a quad core.

Core 2 Quad Q6600 B3Right now this is running at stock speed because I can't OC it in my HTPC without melting down the chassis. I'm not sure what I want to do with it for sure, so if you have a CPU you'd be interested in swapping, let me know what your offer would be.

ASUS X38 P5E motherboard - Great motherboard for Crossfire with dual x16 PCIE 2.0 slots. However, I can only get the FSB up to 435mhz with my q9550. So, I'm looking for a board that can get it higher. That'll probably be a P45 board, so I would be interested in a trade. Depending on the board you have, I could throw in a few bucks as well.

I have one 8800GTS in my file server, so I need another card with 128 SPs in order to max it out. The PCP&C PSU I'm using in that PC only has two PCIe power plugs, so gettting another 8800GTS would be perfect, although I could of course use adaptors on a 9800GTX.

SLI motherboard - I have all these nvidia GPUs in my rigs, but I don't have a single SLI motherboard. That's fine for folding, but gaming performance is getting left behind. So, depending on what you have, maybe we can trade. Or something.

would be willing to trade + cash my mobo but I only have one peg.... sorry while I have only gotten the FSB a lil past 400 there is no reason to suggest that is its max.... My cpu on it is overclocked beyond 50% and I think I just found the cpu max not the mobo max...

I wouldn't mind upping my gfx card down the road to something higher than a 4850, or even just getting another 4850 for cheap.

I thought of something else with which I am willing to part that is completely unrelated to folding, my Sansa c250 MP3 player. The audio jack is bad but other than that she's a beauty. It has a case too. I am willing to trade it to someone for a Radeon HD 4870. Haha, just kidding, but I would take the trade if someone wanted though, who wouldn't right? If you think you can fix it I would be willing to part with it for a reasonable price. I'm too cheap to say free but I'm open to offers.

Okay, this'll be my bench at the swap meet.

I don't have anything to sell right now; I'm holding onto an AMD Athlon x2 6000+ (125w) in hopes of finding a motherboard to run it with.

I am looking for a 9800GTX card, either regular, plus, or overclocked. It will be my son's graphics card while I send his 9800 GX2 back to eVGA for repair (topic for another thread).

Those 8800's look tempting. I might pick one up if I can't find a 9800GTX.
