One of the things that has made this project what it is today is the support of the forums. By the efforts of the members a community has risen which handles many aspects of the day to day operation of this site. For example, we provide free, best effort, technical support to anyone who needs it. Simply register and you can immediately begin posting whatever questions you may have in the forums. Very quickly someone will be around to answer whatever question you may have. Or, simply head to the General Conversation forum and you can talk about whatever is on your mind today. One of the major functions of the forums is to serve as a center for discussion on the direction of the site. The Main Forum Index is where the conversations take place. Which direction to focus on in the coming months is a frequent topic. Also, article critiques and suggestion are given when solicitied. If you are stuck on one of the finer points of wiki editing the Wiki help section has the answers. We also provide two very popular sections, the Hardware and Software subforums. In there you can find out about anything computer related. Some of the members have decades of experience in working with PC's and everything that goes with it. You'd be hard pressed to find a topic they were not familiar with already. In the software forum there is a Gaming section where you can talk about your favorite games and get tips from other players. In short, we believe that OCW represents the future of the internet. We've completely embraced Web 2.0 and have provided a site that will quickly become the best source for answers to all of your tech questions. By joining now you become an early part of the community and you'll be part of a site that will really change how we enhance our computing. Comment (2) |
