Here's a woman who signed up for the 'unlimited' plan @ $59 a month and at the end of the month received a bill for -- $14062.27. Yes, you read that right, fourteen thousand dollars. Oh, and her service never actually worked.
Here's a link to the video on Youtube: Largest Sprint Bill Ever
And, thanks to the Consumerist you can call a direct line to Sprint, just in case you need to discuss this.

In less than one quarter, sales of Asus' Eee pc have far exceeded expectations. Shipments were intially estimated for 300,000 units by the end of the quarter. Yet, already 350,000 units have been sold, nearly 20% above expectations.

I was recently given the chance by a friend of mine to help
her setup her new Asus Eee UMPC. My first impression of this thing when I first
started with it was, "Holy cow how am I ever going to be able to fit my
big hands on that tiny keyboard". From then on, it was really smooth
sailing. The OS they pre-load on it is a custom Asus rendition of Xandros Linux
running IceWM as the window manager, and I have to say, they really put some
thought and effort into this thing. I was immediately impressed with the layout
of the GUI. There are tabs at the top of the screen to switch between your
different sections, for example Internet applications, Games, Education and
Settings. Then inside of those tabs are icons that are literally your computer
background...that's right, there is no computer background, your background is
an interactive icon style navigation tool. I just thought that this was the
neatest thing ever! Exploring a little more, it's pretty easy to setup things
like wireless network and user preferences. However, in exploring I came to
find out that they had hidden the terminal somewhere, and I needed it to
configure the wireless to use WPA Enterprise. Come to find out, after finding
the terminal, that many other Eee users were having the same wireless issues
and that the Eee was actually incapable of doing it regardless of what
you try to do to it. So, needless to say I was very disappointed. So I gave my
friend two options. It explains in the manual how you can use an external CDROM
drive to install windows XP (Very smart move Asus) and I said I could either
install Windows XP, but she would need to buy a USB cd drive and they run about
$50 or I told her I could try this thing I found that by putting Ubuntu on a
Pendrive and then booting from that, I could install Ubuntu Linux on her Eee
and it would then be capable of getting on the wireless....

A lack of innovation in the video card market and lack of success from AMD's quad cores makes the end of 2007 seem very sluggish. 2007 was supposed to be a year of significant advancement in the computer hardware world. In some ways, it was, but in others, 2007 left me wanting so much more.

One of our members, Gomeler, has an interesting hobby which is making custom phase change units. As you probably know, those are the cooling systems that produce temperatures up to 100c cooler than anything else on the market. We're talking about compressors, evaporaters, heat exchangers all in a custom box or case. He just finished a very clean looking v2000 build with a high performance Phase Change system in it.
Gomeler's Phase Change Build Thread is a good introduction to his work. You'll see pictures and pictures of the man himself.

I'll go easy here since I know no one appreciates spam. However, there are a couple of sites I think are worthy of mentioning here, mainly since one is mine and the other is my wife's. First up is Birdie Wordie , you guessed it, all about birds and those who love them. Its got significant photo gallery and a user forums. You can take a look around our little world and see some of the woodland creatures that we love.
Second is a new business I've launched, Jes Pro . It is an online store for discount janitorial and sanitation parts. Prices average 50% off so if you need those items you'll be hard pressed to find a better deal. If not, well, you can respond to this thread and tell me how poor my design skills are. :)
