Next on the list are the installation size. If you've only got 10 GB of free space you'll want to choose between 4 - 6 GB. If space isn't an issue for you I'd suggest either 15 GB or 30 GB if you think you might just want to keep Ubuntu on your system and have plenty of room to store files and download programs. For desktop environment the default choice is fine for most users, Ubuntu. If you've got a special reason to want to do so, you can install other versions. Here's a tip: Just install Ubuntu. If you really want to do something else then you'll need to use the small web downloader I mentioned above as the needed files wouldn't be on the .iso file you burned.
Language, Username and Password are whatever you want them to be. I'm an english speaking person so I'll just leave the defaults for language. Wubi picked up my Windows username automatically, Dustin, so I'll leave that as well. After choosing a secure password I'm ready to click Finish and start copying things to the hard drive. |
